A quartet of ACEO wildflowers

These were done back in early May, as a possible entry for the DAC Durango Blooms!  juried show.  I opted to enter the daisy pastel instead.  All are pastel on black Strathmore

  1. I'm a fan of your Rosy Paintbrush! When I'm out in the North Cascades in Washington one of my favorite flowers to see are the neon orange Indian Paintbrushes!

  3. Hi Jill - thanks! There are so many varieties of Paintbrushes in this region, and there are large variations of color within the Rosy Paintbrushes themselves. They are quite striking, aren't they?

LeAnn - I'm glad you enjoyed them; they are fun to paint in these small sizes :).
